What is this stuff?

The strangest thing is happening outside. It's making drippy marks on the window, and it's the same stuff that comes out of my garden hose. Strange. I know I've seen it before, but the name escapes me. I remember it from a long time ago. You know....when grass used to be green, instead of brown. Which is it supposed to be? I think "brown," and on special occasions, it turns green. Was that St. Patrick's day? Probably.

Any way, if it doesn't stop, someone should probably invent something to put over our heads, so we don't get wet.

Hugh, that's the best laugh I've had all day.

Jeanie, I'm not sure what you're talking about? It's running down your windows and comes out of your garden hose?

Pssst! *looks left and right* I think she means rain that will turn her brown lawn back to green. Must have been having a drought?

I felt like the natives when the missionaries pulled out the matches ---- OOOOOHHH, white gods makum FIRE! I have totally forgotten how long it's been since it actually rained here!

I think the cats were thrilled, too. Forget the part about cats not wanting to get wet; almost all of them went out into the outdoor enclosure and actually got soaked. On purpose. More than once. Chip came in the house dripping and meowing like Lassie when Timmy was in the well. He promptly jumped on my lap with his cold, wet feet and gave my face a head-butt with his cold, wet head. Never in my life have I seen a bunch of cats having fun in the rain!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.

There were tornados not far from here, but luckily all we got was wonderful rain. My dog Doxis wouldn't come in and just laid out in the rain for about 15 minutes.

I heard that there might be tornadoes somewhere in the tri-state area! We were supposed to get thunderstorms, but we didn't, only some of that drippy stuff.

Elsie, your post put such a smile on my face! I can't picture cats playing in the rain. I'm glad you finally got some! If Mother Nature is saving up her moisture for winter.....heaven help us!
