In the latest of what seems to be a disturbing onslaught of animal cruelty videos, a British man has been caught on surveillance tape deserting a limping dog.
At first, the man appears to be simply taking the canine, who is now dubbed Ginger, for a walk in an empty parking lot in Weymouth, Dorset. The next shot, however, shows the man hopping into his car and speeding away, while his puzzled pet looks on. "The dog tried to follow the car but couldn't because of the limp," a eyewitness toldThe Independent.
The clip comes on the heels of Mary Bale, another U.K. resident who was slapped with animal cruelty charges earlier this week after a video of her dumping a neighbor's cat into the trash went viral on YouTube.
According to The Telegraph, police are now trying to analyze the footage to determine the man's identity.
People disgust and infuriate me. We pick up several roamers weekly that are never claimed. I am always thrilled when we're able to catch the piece of trash that dumped them. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen often.
I'm glad this poor pooch has so many potential homes lined up!
