Where would you rather live?

Reading Geri's thread about snow reminded me of how much I really do not like living in New Jersey. I don't like it for a number of reasons I won't bore you with. Last summer we visited Zion National Park in southern Utah. Dh and I were sick to death using the word beautiful. I've not gone farther west than Utah but I was ready to relocate right then.

LOL! When I saw this post I just had a feeling your first 3 words would be something like what you wrote! LOL!

Um, I would live right where I do now, except with a little bit less hill, and more flat land. Hubby and I just talked about this the other day. We would definitely build a log home next time too.

I would like to live in CO, NM, or AZ. I love the hot weather with no humidity. The summers around here kill me. The humidity just saps all the energy out of me. I think CO might be the best because it gets really nice during the summer but it cools down at night and you get snow in the winter. I love snow. I don't think NM or AZ get much snow.

Not sure. I agree with Susan, Hawaii does sound nice. XD

I hate the summer weather here in CA because I don't tolerate heat and sun well. I get sunburned super easily and get heat-induced migraines. :[

I think I'd love someplace with more rain, and at least some snow. Like Seattle or something. But I wonder if maybe I'd get sick of the snow and rain and cold after a while. It just seems like such a wonderful thing when it's such a rarity here.

Plus I admit I am spoiled by how convenient living in LA is. It's a good place to be for my industry (video game art) and there are just so many other things that go on here that I might miss.

I'd stay in San Diego, but live in a more rural area, away from the "South Central-like" area I live in now.

Ahh yes, I agree with Marie. I feel fortunate that I don't actually live in the city of LA itself. I'm out in a very rural/suburban area, right at the edge of LA and Ventura county.

I have to go down to Hollywood at least once a week for work and I hate it. It's busy and loud and dirty. It has such a different, chaotic energy. The open suburban hills/farmland feels much more peaceful!

Reprot, Zion National Park is my favorite place on earth. I've been there 6 or 7 times and my mouth just hangs open every time I go. Rocks are so dramatic and beautiful, and Zion has the best rocks around. Next time I go there, I want to combine it with going to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab.

Has anyone ever heard of Frederick, MD? It's only 25 miles or so away from my work, but for logistical and commuting reasons I can't move there. But that's where I'd go, Frederick.

I've stayed in a couple places in Colorado (Boulder, Ft. Collins) that were beautiful.

Oooo Oooo Oooo! I have! Course I live about 5 miles north of you. It is a nice area but yeah, the drive would be intolerable for me. I like living 3 miles from work. At least I live near protected park land so I get to see woods every day on my drive even though I techincally live right in the middle of everything.
