Holiday punch recipe ??

Does anyone have one? I'm not much of a wine drinker, beer doesn't cut it for the holidays and egg nog is far too fattening. I'm thinking alcohol punch.

Here's a bunch of punch!

I'm thirsty now.

I saw this topic and the old Hawaiian Punch commercials flashed in my mind.

This is a punch similar to what I made for a friend's bridal shower

SOUTHERN COMFORT PUNCH

2 1/2 c. Southern Comfort
2 1/4 c. 7-Up (1 liter bottle)
6 oz. real lemon juice
16 oz. frozen orange juice
2 (6 oz.) cans frozen lemonade
Mix together. Add 7-Up last.

It may not be "Holiday" punch but it is still pretty tasty.

This is one of my favorites in winter because it warms you up and
you can replace the apple juice with red wine

  • 2 oranges
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 6 cups apple juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 1/4 cups pineapple juice

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Stud the whole oranges with cloves, and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the apple juice and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium, and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and stir in the nutmeg, honey, lemon juice, and pineapple juice.
  3. Serve hot in a punch bowl with the 2 clove-studded baked oranges floating on top.

Glad that I could help! Like I said before, its really tasty. If you want to make it more "holiday-ish" you can first boil the juices and lemonade with whole cloves and cinnamon sticks
