I'm awake now!

I had a really hard time waking up this morning. I walked around the house like a zombie while getting ready for work. As I was walking out the door I saw 2 or 3 squirrels chasing each other along the fence line. As I headed towards the gate, a ball of grey fur falls INCHES in front of my nose and lands at my feet. To say the least, that scared the living daylights out of me. I shrieked from being startled and the squirrel jumped up and scarpered off a second later. Needless to say, that boost of adrenaline woke me up better than any cup of coffee could.

That would wake me up too. Do your cats like to squirrel watch? Muffs and Abby love to sit by the window and watch the squirrels scampering about...they'll move from window to window in order to follow their activities.

Yes, they love to squirrel watch. They also like to watch Mr. Chipmunk who lives under my deck. Teddy dashed the door one night trying to catch Mr. C.

I immediately thought of that song when I read about the squirrel falling RIGHT in front of your nose!
I'd have leapt and screeched, too. But I bet I'd have also peed my panties.

Ha, ha, that's hysterical!

On a side note - I celebrated Mardi Gras in Pascagoula every year for nearly ten years straight - about a decade ago. Oh, the fun I had back then......
