Resurrecting the Mammoth

Researchers aim to resurrect mammoth in five years - Yahoo! News

Just saw this in the news. I personally think it sounds really cool, and I hope they succeed! What are your thoughts on this, and do you think it's really possible?

God wanted the mammoth dead, so it should stay that way I reckon.

Did we learn nothing from Jurassiac Park? We'd better resurect Professor Quatermass first.

The last time people tried to elimate free roaming cats it resulted in The Black Plague.

I saw the Discovery special on this a few years back. It was very interesting how they collected the sample from Amber and were going to use modern elephants as surrogates for the clone. However, I am morally opposed to the whole cloning thing in general. I can see harvesting organs for medicinal purposes, but not entire beings for our entertainment. I don't think man is meant to play God just so we can find out what a species was like and parade them around to make profits...that just seems wrong!
