My parents dog..

He is a 7 year old doberman, the sweetest craziest dog ever.

My mum called me this morning to say he is very ill, possibly an obstruction, but too sick to undego an anesthetic

My mum was crying on the phone, this will really destroy them if he dies.

Please say a prayer for Sam.

That was the last dog my parents had, too. Love them!

Prayers sent, and fingers and paws crossed for Sam.

Well, they operated for 4 hours, he had swallowed a freakin tennis ball!!!

The vet said the first big hurdle was coming round from the anesthetic..which he has done, he even walked a few steps. He says the second hurdle is an infection..thanks for the good wishes guys, hopefully he will be ok

I ask myself, how on earth do wild dogs survive?? I mean they eat everything!

I'm so glad to hear the surgery went ok! A tennis ball?! I hope Sam's recovery goes smoothly, and he's back to his normal doggy self in no time.

They replace themselves faster than they can die. Sadly, that is how they survive
