So excited!!

We found out a few days ago that my husband was nominated for an Eisner Award (kind of like the Oscars for comic book creators) and we'll get to go to a black tie ceremony in San Diego this summer! I am beyond proud of him and so excited!

Now all I have to do is get the time off.....hard when you're the least senior member of your staff! But hopefully someone will trade with me....

Wow congrats! That's awesome!

As an artist eventually interested in self-publishing I can only imagine how much of an honor that must be!

And I'm guessing this means you get free passes to Comic-Con? That should be a blast. I used to go to that con every year.

@Saitenyo--I know he will, I might not, they're already pretty much sold out (the four-day passes with the preview night anyway) but a full-on pass wouldn't be worth it for me anyway, I'd probably only go for a day! Took him 12 + years to get here so keep slogging away at it! I think this is one of the industries where long, hard work pays off more than sudden fame.

It's been a neat journey to watch!

Yeah those passes sell like crazy. Honestly though, I find doing the full four days to be too exhausting anyway. I go on a pro pass which allows me to go all 4 days but I normally end up just going for two. My feet are so sore by the end of the first day!

And definitely, it seems like he's finally getting the reward for all that hard work!
