I found my stolen DVD player!

It was in a small shop that sells just about anything-hats,belts,video games, dvds, and dvd players. The thief, after burglarizing my apartment took my T.V. and DVD player there, and the guy bought it. I reported it to the police -AT THE STORE OWNERS REQUEST-and got my T.V. back. He needs more proof that the dvd player's mine. Tomorrow,I'll have a receipt to shove in his face. Here's MY question. Isn't what he did called RECIEVING STOLEN PROPERTY!? He doesn't even have a PAWN license!

Anyway I got all my locks changed, and I swallowed the keys. urp. No, I just got copies made.

He should have to prove that he bought the TV and DVD player in good faith - which requires varying proof, depending on your location.

I'm glad you're getting some of your stuff back. I hope this jerk who took everything from you is in serious trouble.

It's called "possession of stolen property" and yes, it is a crime, whether he knew it was stolen or not, he has to give it back.
