My husband......the chef!

He's obsessed with making all this weird stuff lately. He's been trying to make his own sausage recipes, and trust me, they don't taste great! This morning he made Potato Sausage, and it was nasty. The other day he tried to make home made brats, and the recipe called for, what I thought was a huge amount, of liquid smoke. It was bitter! I love that he cooks, but seriously, can't we just have normal food?

Hahah! I'm not laughing at you entirely, just seems like something you could blog about Maybe you could cook with him and "suggest" different things?

LOL...I made the mistake of critiquing once and my hubby hasn't cooked for me since! That was about 9 years ago. I experiment in the kitchen too, but it's usually palatable lol

Liquid smoke is suppose to only be used in a very small amount, other wise it's foul.
If your husband is trying to make sausage he should stick with tried and true recipes and perfect his skill before he start experimenting.

I think it's sweet that he's trying. Maybe you could happen to "find" a great recipe on line and see if he wants to try it for next time.

I agree with Marie. Kudos to him for trying, it's more than many men do. That's what I would do. 'Find' a great (and traditional) recipe that you can't wait for him to try out for you.
