Sloppy Joes

Does anyone outside NE Ohio/western PA. know what sloppy joes are? We had these ground beef/tomato sauce sandwiches at my sister's birthday, yesterday. It's just that you never HEAR about them! You hear about MANWICH-which is 1 BRAND of sloppy joes-but NEVER S.J.s!

They are sloppy, but really tasty, and really filling.

T.V. show: 'What's for dinner,Mom' 'Sloppy Joes!' It doesn't happen...

Love sloppy joes!! It's my go to meal when I don't feel like cooking anything intricate since the ingredients are usually in the pantry/freezer.

My kids love sloppy joes! They only like it one way though, the way I make it. They dont like peppers onions or such in theirs, so I use ketchup and brown sugar and hamburger or turkey burger. All their friends love it and ask me to make it quite often.

Yar, I like mine with onions and peppers, but diced VERY small. NO big chunks. I prefer mine with a mix of buffalo and beef.

I haven't had a sloppy joe since I was a kid. Never really even think about it. I think I'll try my hand at making some sometime soon.

My Mom would use the same Sloppy Joe recipe for Frito Pie.
Fill a bowl with the small Frito's corn chips then cover them with Sloppy Joe mix.
