Exotic pets...

Do any of you have or ever had exotic pets. I had two guinea pigs years ago, they lived for five years. They were both female and very cute and had their own very special personalities. Here is a photo of them, the tan and white one is Pudgie and the black one is Jackie. I really miss them.

I used to breed them briefly. Are you talking strictly about guinea pigs or all exotics? I have owned parrots, lizards, snakes, fish, asf rats, etc.

I like guinea pigs, they were fairly easy to care for. I just got rid of mine because I was done with breeding and had other animals to care for and had to downsize.

I would love an emperor scorpion. But if cared for properly, they're actually quite a bit of work (and the initial setup is rather expensive), and I'm just too lazy to give one a good home. LOL

When I get my own place (or heck, get THIS place cleaned up, organized and properly pet-proofed), I would love to get a rabbit.
The reason I need a decent living space, is I'll have it roaming free. I hate the thought of keeping it in a cage all day, even a 'big' one. The 8 hours at night might not be so bad, but otherwise I'd want it running around and "free" as animals should be!

Plus, now that I'm feeding my kitties high quality canned, I don't have the budget for anything else!

I've had an African Grey also and a Mexican Red Leg Tarantula years ago. Now, we have a Leopard Gecko who is about 3 years old.

I've had a ball python, California king snake, a hedgehog, 3 sugar gliders, and currently own 2 ferrets.
My ball python passed from some disease. (I had her when I was probably 8 or younger). My mom's jealous (now) ex-husband killed my hedgehog because he wanted to get revenge on her. He figured that the best way to do that was hurt me. Two of my gliders passed and my last baby girl escaped and I never saw her again.

This is Alice, my insane baby girl.

Tesla, my snuggly tub of lard.

Atreyu, my sweet little momma's boy.

Dakota, my sweetie pie.

Jacobi. She was a brat, but I loved her, of course.
