Puppys first night alone.

So, my neighbours trip has arrived. Last time they went away Marley was up barking all night. This time, i havent heard a peep since the couple barks right when i left.

Thats gotta be a good sign right?? Their last trip he wasnt on anything for pain at all except glucosamine. Now hes on that plus pain meds every day. compared to their last trip hes moving around so much better.

So i wonder if last time he didnt sleep all night because he was in pain and his people were gone? He does get worried/anxious when he sees the suitcases. but he always has. But im hoping this time is just the missing his people and not so much on the pain part.

He is moving around much better than last time. He was stuck on the tile floor last time. this time he sometimes wants to run, hes doing so much better. so im hoping that was a good chunk of what it was last time. Especially since this is more than one night!

We were going to have him sleep here but we just concluded that he would be especially anxous being in a new(er) environment and with his people gone. That would also put his cats through some anxiety too. So we decided as normal as possible is the best thing. He has a nice new comfy dog bed now too, which hes grown to like. He will be mopey for his people but, i think hes gonna be okay!!
