The big game

Well,I was rootin' for the Pats, but as it turns out there's a guy from Youngstown on the Giants. GOOD game. Right down to the wire. Did anyone have a Superbowl party? Me and Robin went to one. Good fun. Pizza,wings... Missed the halftime show, though.

O.T. Whatever happened to Madonna's son?

Loved the game, loved the outcome!

Gisele Brady: Nice. Stay classy.

Kelly Clarkson sang one of the best versions of the national anthem I've ever heard anywhere. Just beautiful!!

MIA: See Gisele Brady.Geesh!

I watched the Super Bowl at home, alone. The ex and the kids went to his brother's house and watched it there. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and was biting my nails when it looked like the Patriots were going to score a touchdown with under a minute left. When my Giants broke it up, I was jumping on the bed!

The halftime show ROCKED!! Madonna totally killed it. Lady Gaga has said that she's better than Madonna. HA!! In her dreams! I didn't like that Madonna lip-synced, but given that she was dancing for most of the show, I don't blame her for lip-syncing.

Um yeah, these two need etiquette classes.

I got choked up listening to her sing the anthem. She has an amazing voice.

The best bit about the Superbowl is the half time show, and the "incidents" which seem to get Americans all hot and bothered.
If it's not Janet Jackson's mammaries making a bid for freedom, it's someone surreptitiously "flipping the bird" as you lot put it (the picture of which is currently on a well known British TV company website). What a lot of babyish fuss and nonsense.
America's attitude to bodily parts being shown has puzzled many millions of Europeans. If 984,457,534 people get shot in a film, nothing happens, but one nip slip in a concert and you act like the world's going to end. It's hilarious.

I personally don't care for Madonna, but as my sister said it was perfect because it was all overblown hype & nonsense!

The drum corps behind her in one of the songs were Indianapolis area highschool kids. They were pretty good & what a thrill to be able to say "Well, once I was a drummer for Madonna..."! (the choir was also from local groups)

The Giants' passing game was superb. Poetry in motion.
