An article my friend posted about PTSD

I stumbled upon this and the photos really shed some light on what its like, if anyone is interested

The Pulitzer Prizes | Works#

I really liked picture #9, but although its sweet, they all show the terror he lived in. (now he is in a special program to help PTSD victims.). i dont know him or anything, i just thought the pictures aspect shed some new light on it. for me anyway.

That is just heart-wrenching. Poor man. Its all too common a problem. I have a friend who was special ops and did 2 tours. He's a mess today.

I wish i knew what they were all fighting over. I mean, i know they say our freedom. but what would happen if we pulled all our troops out from everywhere else? Either no more war, or us being invaded.

would love the first but probably would be the second wouldnt it?

I just cant imagine. one stressful event can really mess with you, let alone the many they see/experience.

The pictures are just heartbreaking. I hope he was able to find some peace while at the treatment center. The numbers of soldiers and vets who are similarly suffering is just staggering.

My brother has PTSD from his time in Vietnam. It has ruined his life.

That was hard to read. Thanks for posting. I think it's important to understand what these people are going through. I hope he's found peace in the program he's in.

Very heartbreaking... makes me wish I could help him and the others suffering with PTSD from serving our country.
