Thumbs up I just saw a baby bear!

I haven't been on this forum in.. forever, I'm sorry. I miss all of you. Last year I packed up and moved to the mountains of North Carolina. I'll have to write an updated post next week when I have a lot of time. I love it here!

Anyways, I thought I'd log in and show all of you a baby bear that I saw today, I'll just paste what I wrote on another forum that I'm on. I miss all of you and hope I can return to semi-regular posting .

==================

This is the second bear I've seen since moving to NC. This one was exciting because I was in my van (I just got done with my walk right near there!!) and this bear was close by looking at me as I was driving past (innocently, I think he was scared) so I got a close up view of him. It took me a minute to realize what I just saw and I pulled out my phone and snapped a picture. I'm jumping with excitement right now and I can hardly wait to post this!

Click picture for the full pic. Sorry, kinda far away but this is when I realized what I saw haha.

Nice spotting! I love nature, though I much prefer deer, and harmless critters like that! We had a big bear on our patio last fall, and it was pretty scary!

Awesome!! Although I have never seen one in the wild, I have an irrational fear of Bears. I wouldnt mind seeing one though as long as i was in a car or something

Same here till I moved, this is the second one I saw. The first bear I saw was when I was in the woods with my brother, basically in "their" territory. I was scared for my life, but the bear kept walking away so that was a huge sigh of relief. This second little baby bear I saw wasn't anything like that, I wasn't scared or anything. Plus having the protection of my van took away any concern - I just wonder if the parent bears were near or not.

The baby bear was really cute, I wish I could of got a close up picture but alas, my camera phone is junk LOL.
