OMG OMG OMG I must vacation before they reach 40 lbs

Dade City's Wild Things

Go to the SWIM WITH TIGERS OPTION

A friend just got a call from them to let her know they have cubs that are small enough. Once thye reach 40 lbs they won't let people near them

That's pretty nifty! Years ago MGM in vegas let you pet the baby lions. You could get a picture holding one and for a little more money you could spend time in the playpen with them frolicking. My ex husband and I used to go every summer to visit his grandmother and every year we'd play with the lions.

OF course..now I feel like we just encouraged them to exploit the little guys but at the time it was what I looked forward to most on those trips.

Also, we were there one year for New Year's eve and attended the midnight showing of Siegfried and Roy. We were up front in the 'catwalk' and they brought out a handful of white tiger cubs and a white lion cub for the people upfront to pet. I couldn't stop snuzzling their little furry heads! It made it MORE than worth getting splashed with elephant urine.

Given an option to play with lions or tigers I'd forget the bit about encouraging their exploitation in a minute

The person who brought this to my attention did the swim with dolphins thing and didn't think it was worth $200 but would gladly pay $200 for this.

that looks way cool! Are you going to do it?

Up in Flagstaff AZ the Humane Society brought their puppies on to the campus and the student could pay $5 or $10 to play with the puppies for a set amount of time. I thought that was a great idea for fund raising!
