Baseball

If you haven't been following, the season has become action-packed! Last night was the charity 'home run derby',the all Star Game is coming up,and...me Buckos are doing great!
I'm saddened that baseball is no longer an Olympic event! I hope the IOC will reverse this short-sighted policy.

My favorite thing about baseball is going...well...OUT TO THE BALLPARK! The crowds, the hotdogs the summer breezes...

my least favorite thing is when players-especially those on the same team-engage in these petty little spats. Just get along, and play ball!!!

I'm a big baseball fan too! And long-suffering baseball fan, because I live near Baltimore. The O's haven't had a winning season in 14 years. This year we were finally allowed to get just a tiny bit of hope, but now they're sliding again and will probably be in the basement as usual by the end of July. There's no stopping the Yankees.

Yeah, even though Cal's been out of baseball for years, he's still the hero of this area. You can't say anything bad about Mr. Ripken.

My wife is from Missouri, South of St. Louis so I've been a bit of a Card fan. Actually, just a fan of their gear. I don't have enough patience for the sport.

Love me some College Football though.

The reason they don't have it as an Olympic sport is that no one outside the USA, (and most British schoolgirls) care about it :p

You may as well have skipping and hair braiding as events.

Actually baseball has quite a following in Central America. IN fact,Fidel Castro tried out for a spot in the big leagues. Also, Japan and China have a yen for the game. And it has a following in the South Pacific.

Big St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan here, am proud to say we are the defending champions. I love baseball and watching my team win, also like to watch other teams too. Go Cards...
