More sloppy joes!

The original thread is months old so...

Well...Sloppy Joes are popular, and not just in Ohio. Anyone had them recently? Anyone going to fix them tonight? Thinking 'what's for dinner'?

Sloppy Joes are ground beef in sweetened tomato sauce with green peppers and onions served on hamburger buns! Quite tasty, and easy to make.

I love Sloppy Joes. Since hubby is not a fan I just buy the ore made canned stuff, but that is satisfying enough.

They sound like you'd die of cholesterol poisoning just by looking at them.

They're like Chili sandwiches without chili powder, imo.

I prefer tacos.

I make them about once a year. i love them but they dont love me. i use the canned sauce too. The blander the better. They do make great lunches for children. As a kid I was to to many birthday parties that served them.

I love sloppy joes, but they don't fit into the meal plan anymore.

Exactly this. I tried futzing with recipes to try and force that square peg into the round hole of my diet plan and no go...... it just has too many carbohydrates for my blood sugar and/or too much sodium for my BP.
