Outdoors!

Spring is coming!

I want to hit the bike trails, go fishing, grill, wildlife watch! What do you like to do in the wide open spaces?

I like to go walking around my neighborhood in nice weather. I also have a bike, so I should inflate the tires and use it this year. I just hope its warm enough soon.

Avid cyclist here, although the trails have to be clear of snow, which they aren't at the moment. Also the temperatures have to push about 30-40 degrees higher - our "high" yesterday was 19! It will most likely be April before I can get out and ride.

I also like to roll down the windows on my car and play my favorite Celtic/acoustic music groups' music really loud. Hey, if the people with the "ghetto blasters" playing their rap and reggaeton can do it, why can't someone playing Tartan Terrors (alternative rock crossed with bagpipes and fiddles), Perpetual e-motion (electronic/sampling crossed with guitar/fiddle) or Raz de Maree (Quebecois music)?? Plus, my music sounds better than just thumping bass.

I can't wait to get at my garden!

Which reminds me, I've got some seed planting to do tonight

My yard is still covered in snow...probably at least a foot or two in some places Stupid Canada, lol.

It's 57f and the birds are singing! The raccoons are out too. Nice wildlife watching!

Temps ranged from 73 to 80 last week. So hard to tell when the seasons change....

I'm looking forward to long walks outdoors, wearing single layers of clothing, extended daylight hours, and the return of Spring/Summer outdoor festivals!

The squirrels are busy in Wick Park! They're looking for food and fighting, mostly. Some squirels are starting to hang out by the benches, and one of them snagged some peanuts! Also there's a huge nest in a tree near the middle of the park. I'm thinking it's an eagle or a hawk.
