oh! I get to be first! So a family adopted one of my foster kittens yesterday and in my great joy I offered that they could come visit him anytime. BIG MISTAKE - they are coming over in 45 minutes to see Will and I'm still in my pajamas! Ugh!

You're probably not going to get adopted, bad presentation.

I swear when my mom and I got back from lunch yesterday and she walked in behind me... MowMow let out a huge sigh.

This morning I woke up @ 2:30 for the restroom and MowMOw was sitting up staring down at my mom (she stays in my room with us when she visits) with his tail whipping back and forth. Just... staring at her. When I came back to bed I was able to coax him back onto Soft with pets and kisses so he fell asleep again but... yeah....

It's a good thing she's leaving tomorrow morning. I think my sweet angelic precious love muffin is about to commit a homicide.

Seriously?? I'm getting sick?? And two months after having the flu? I have a lovely cough and an itchy, scratchy throat that feels like someone is rubbing steel wool in my throat when I cough. The timing just sucks. Winter Intersession just started on January 5 and goes until February 15, 2015. That's only six weeks. I CANNOT afford to get sick and/or miss class. And if this isn't bad enough, I have a speech due on Monday for my Speech class. I hope I still have a voice by then to deliver the speech.

My5,
Slippery Elm is talked a lot about here...
But, when I have a sore throat, I go to my Health and Nutrition food store and pick up a bottle of Thayer's Slippery Elm Lozenges...not cheap, around $12.00 per bottle (120 lozenges), but very soothing for the throat.
Zinc lozenges are good to slowly melt in the mouth, can definitely help shorten the 'Yukkies'!
Hope you feel better quickly!

We have a GNC (General Nutrition Center) across the street from us. I'll give them a call and see if they carry that.

And thanks. I'm feeling achy again like I did when I was sick last time. And while I don't want to miss class, I may have to. My Speech professor is 6 1/2 - 7 months pregnant and there's another girl in my class who is pregnant. She's due around the same time as our professor. I DEFINITELY don't want them to get sick because I'm being stubborn.

Last time I was catching it, I took the L-lysine and that really helped.
