Planting Cilantro??

My bf's coworker gave him a bunch of cilantro seeds. We want to plant them. What do we do? I found some little individual planters, and I bought soil.

Is it ok to try this time of year? (I live in Kansas).

Any thing in particular that I need to know?

Are individual planters better or should I use one large?

How much sun & water?

Tina

I've planted cilantro before, but usually in the spring then they last through the summer until the first freeze. I get those starter pellets that you put about 5-7 seeds in, then when those start to sprout, you plant the sprouts, pellets and all in individual pots. Keep them indoors while they are in the pellets, then transfer them to a mostly shady/semi-sunny spot outdoors. The best place is near a window so you can enjoy the scent of the herb. Good luck with your planting!
