1000 young faces....

I am not trying start any political debates here...so please, no poltical comments. I just thought we could all take a few moments to honor the 1000+ soldiers that have given their lives in Iraq. I think we can at least all agree that war is a terrible, terrible thing.

That is a very long list of faces to look through. These men and women gave the ultimate sacrifice and should be honored for their service.

(Thank you for the lack of political affiliation. I appreciate your effort to focus on remembering those lost).

Looking at those faces, you realize how YOUNG they all were. I think I read somewhere that the average age of the military over there is only 19!

It is so sad, no matter what country people are from. We were having a discussion about the Scottish Wars of Independence at work and someone was saying isn't it amazing how much we (human race) have advanced since then. You see something like that and realise we've just discovered easier ways to kill people. I know there are many beautiful, wonderful things in the world, sorry if I make tht sound terribly morbid.

It is really sad!! My uncle is there now he just left last month. It was not easy on the family for him to go!! But the way he sees it is that is his job he doesnt get sad when we go to work! To bad we all could not think like that!!
