Ooh, I looked this up before. I had to write a paper about the day I was born in a freshman writing class. It was supposed to teach us how to research stuff.

July 27, 1982 -- Survivor - Eye of the Tiger

I've always liked the song so it made my day to know it was #1 when I was born.

I know everyone else's songs, but not this one.

In the US it was Like a Virgin by Madonna , and in the UK it was Do They Know It's Christmas by Band Aid (I was born in December).

Funny story, though, my parents knew my name would be Emily before I was even born, as it's my mom's middle name. So when I was delivered, the doctor didn't say "It's a girl!", he just said: "It's Emily!". Then, my first night home, my dad laid me on the bed and turned on the little radio and Andy William's "Emily" came crooning through the speakers. *cue Twilight Zone theme*

hahahaha... August 10, 1984

Prince - "When Doves Cry" US Chart
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - "Two Tribes"

Gotta love 80's music

And my "life's theme song" is Nelly - "Hot in Here" HA! Somehow I don't remember playing that one on my birthday
