Scott Peterson found GUILTY by a jury of his peers...

I just got done watching Court TV regarding the whole thing. I know there are varying opinions on this issue but it is my personal feeling that justice was served today.

Any other thoughts?

I honestly don't remember what this case was about. The name sounds familiar though. I don't watch the news as often as I should. I am glad to hear justice was served, though! Could you refresh my memory on the case?

Do you not live in the United States? Scott Peterson was convicted of killing his wife and their unborn son on Christmas Eve 2002. Their bodies were found floating in the San Francisco Bay a few months after she went missing. This case went to trial a while back and has been one of the main topics across the nation ever since.

I certainly didn't mean to sound crass when I asked if you live in the United States. It just surprises me that such a huge topic is not known by everyone.

No way he wasn't guilty. Even if the evidence was just circumstantial, his behavior alone was his downfall.

I heard it on the radio and I was so happy to hear that. I honestly think he is 100% guilty

I agree. When I was watching Court TV today they say that even as the verdicts were read he sat there completely stone-faced and emotionless. That tells me that the guy has no sense of remorse or feelings for anyone else or any thing. Not only that, if he hadn't done it you'd think there would have been some sad emotion from him.

I still have mixed feelings about the death penalty issue. In a way, being put to death is what he deserves but, then again, rotting in prison for the rest of his life almost seems more torturous and appropriate. I'm just glad those decisions don't rest in my hands!

Did they have a live feed into the court? I just had on the news and they said no video, just audio. I would have put Court TV on had I known.

But yeah, the whole behavior before getting arrested. Sells her vehicle, never really looks distrought when on TV, going about normal daily activities like nothing had happened, then getting arrested with 4 cells phones, a few thousand dollars, dyed hair and a goatee, then we find out he was having an affair! Come on, that's just a little too much.

I hope he gets the death penalty, however, a lot of lawyers are saying they don't think he will. Well why not?? He killed a pregnant wife!

As far as being conflicted about life or death, because he would rot in prison and have to suffer with life, I look at it this way - A lot of people are on death row for a long time before they are executed (never can understand why though), so he gets to rot for a number of years and then put to death. Make no mistake, these "hardcore" criminals who get put to death are scared ____less when their day comes, imagine how he'll feel.

I wouldn't be surprised if other inmates kill him anyway. He murdered his child, not just his wife. Inmates seem to put this moral code to children but not adults who are murdered or molested. Even criminals see children as innocent, unless they're pedophiles or whatever.
