I'm sure one of our members can refer you to a forum for aquarium hobbyists. I raised mostly angels and live bearers, although I had many tetras. My best hint to you would be to not only soak the bag you bring them home in, but to change the water in the bag bit by bit. I have seen tetras divebomb to the bottom of the tank from the slightest variation in water quality and PH.

At PetFish.net, there is a specific area for tetras.

Here's another I found with Google:
My Fish Box - this is a direct link to the Tetra area

And another at Aquarium Hobbyist

And another fish forum that seems to be pretty busy!

I wonder if the Aquarium Hobbyist is owned by the people who put out the magazine. I bought ten years worth of their magazines privately -when I was raising fish-and read every article. Of course I had hard cover books too. Anyway, I learned so much from those articles!

I was a fish hobbyist for about 10 years....prior to having so many children.

Some of my favorite fish were the black tetra.
A more agressive fish that is beautiful is called a black convict.
