Dukes of Hazard

Anyone out there waiting for the Dukes of Hazard movie? I'm excited about it. Also, anyone seen the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? I know it's been out but just haven't gotten to see it. Any other movie suggestions? I have some free time this weekend.

personally I liked the TV show and I'm terrified that they put Jessica Simpson in the movie... I just don't like that woman

I will actually admit that the reason I want to see Dukes of Hazaed is because Jessica Simpson is in it. I don't know why I like her, but I do.

I recently caught War of the Worlds, the Fantastic Four, and Batman Begins. Of the three, I loved War of the Worlds and Batman Begins. Didn't so much like the Fantastic Four. At all.

Also, if you have a cheap theatre around, we saw The Interpreter a few weeks ago. VERY good.

I won't be seeing Dukes of Hazzard. It was an amusing show, but it was also a very lame show. Paying money to see a big-screen knockoff of a lame show? No thanks. Ah well.

Actually, I saw the original "Cooter" giving an interview on TV in which he was asking fans of the original DoH series to boycott this new film. He said that he and the rest of the original cast were dismayed that this production company has taken their FAMILY FRIENDLY program and turned it into almost a parody of what they were trying to accomplish with their original show. They've laced this movie with (of course) too much suggestive material, a terrible story-line, and horrible (if not non-existant) acting skills. What is there to be excited about? Just like the "Starsky and Hutch" film remake, they had to take a classic and well-loved series and turn it into garbage.

I think they could have picked better looking men to play the Duke boys....

This is a movie I will maybe check out some day if it happens to be on HBO, or years down the road on a different cable station. I thought the orginal show was somewhat amusing, but this movie really doesn't appeal to me.

Totally agree about "Starsky and Hutch". Liked the show, hated the movie.
