Update~~Crocheted afgan and my car

I have decided to try and sell the afghan I made to raise money to fix my car.
I called a mechanic yesterday to have it towed into the shop. They gave me a qoute for what it will cost to fix it if it is the fuel pump like many have told me is a good possibility.

It is an Ouchy amount: $462.02 but I hae been without my car for 6 weeks at least and I cannot live like this anymore.

Well I hope you get your car fixed soon. I know not having a car sometimes makes you feel helpless but it'll be up and running before you know it

It has been towed to the shop now, so it is just a matter of time, and money now.

It was the fuel pump, only putting out 3 pounds of pressure and supposed to put out 40 pounds. GRRRR, oh well at least that won't go bad for a while again.

So far in the 6 weeks that the car has been broken, I have replace the distributer cap and rotor and the serpentine belt(the other one was pretty bad, but not preventing the car from running).

Three months before that I had to replace the battery and alternator.
Six months ago the fuel filter was replaced.
Now it is the fuel pump.

I am not even going to say (what's next).............

Not having a car is a PITA. I had to deal w/just one car and thought that was a pain, I could only imagine how hard it must be w/out one.

Good luck on raising the money for repairs.
