Can anyone help me?? insects...

One of my projects in class is to compile an insect collection, but I'm having such a hard time finding pest insects!! It's due in about 2/3 weeks.

silverfish, cockroaches, bed bugs, lice, termites, fleas, earwigs, springtails, ants...

I've called the spca, many many vets, and about 12 exterminators.... and nothing has turned up (the exterminators have actually hung up on me)

So my last appeal is to the kind folks at catforum

If anyone is willing to send any of those insects my way, I shall be eternally grateful, and send many good thoughts to you and anyone else you please. I'll pay for any shipping fees incurred or any necessary expenses!

Thanks!
Clarissa

My boyfriend lives in NASTY barracks right now -- he has cockroaches that he calls "kitties" running around, lol. We can grab you one of those...he's coming home for Thanksgiving, we can send it out then.

Do you need it alive?

That's a tough list to fill...really. Not many people would have access to all of those pests.

Thanks I'd really appreciate it!! Nope it doesn't have to be alive, just intact and non-smushed. They'll die pretty quick if you put them in some rubbing alcohol.

I'll pm you my details

PS - "kitties"? oh my that does sound nasty!

Oh it must be quite cold where you are now! If you need anything I could always trade ya ! I was lucky to find someone that had a stick bug (Order Phasmida). G'luck to you too!

Jeanie - yep, I hear about these pests constantly, but of course no one wants to hang on to one for fun!

lol yes...

I had this spiel going..." Hi, my name is clarissa, and I'm in the process of making an insect collection for a school project...".... etc

One exterminator i called immediately said 'NO' and hung up.

The other said hello politely, but just hung up right after my speech! I called them back, thinking it might be a mistake, and waited about 20 rings till the answering machine came on ... some people...
