The Biggest Loser---Something Fishy?

If you watch the show, you know that Matt gained 12 pounds two weeks ago, then lost 26 pounds in one week! Now he's in the final three contestants, and could win $250,000. I don't see how it is possible to lose 26 pounds in one week. Matt said that was his strategy, but I have a hard time understanding how anyone could lose 26 pounds in one week! Yet he had the strength to maintain a strenuous exercise regime...one beyond any I know of.

I can't help but believe there is something rotten in the state of Denmark. The only way I can conceive of his accomplishing this would be to hide a weight in his clothing somewhere the week he "gained" 12 pounds and then go on a stringent diet and even more strenuous exercise routine the following week. That way his weight loss for two weeks would be added together and make 26 pounds. I'm surprised the show's producers did not address this unlikely loss. I just don't believe it. [/i]

Depends... the 12 pound gain could have been fluid and if he is a big bloke then a 26 pound weigh loss is technically possible... *shrugs* the bigger you are the quicker it comes off usually.

I don't like Matt. I am really rooting for Seth and Suzy in the finale! Suzy was my favorite from the beginning, but now that I have had a chance to see more of Seth I really like him. Matt is just a hot head, and I do NOT like people like that!

I like both Seth and Suzy too. However, I thought Dr. Jeff really needed the program the most. I would hate to think that he was sent home unfairly. I know he can afford another program, but he was such a good guy and a hard worker. I have never liked Matt. I remember the week he didn't lose; he stomped off and pouted.

Dr. Jeff was one of my favorites as well. Did you see his before and after when he got kicked off, though? He looks SO healthy now! I was happy to see he could keep up with his diet and exercise routine after the show.

He was playing basketball with the children, wasn't he? He looked much better. I'd like to see him again, up close. I hope all of the guests come back, so that we can have a better look at them. They can be proud of themselves...and some of them have probably lengthened their lives considerably.

All of the commercials for the Season Finale say that all of the contestants are coming back. I can't wait to see what everyone looks like now!

Great! You know I'll be watching. I have always thought the exercise program was too rough, but I think that's what paid off, and took off the pounds. To be honest, I was expecting some of the morbidly obese people to collapse with a heart attack! But they were under a doctor's supervision the whole time.

I'm rooting for Suzy, myself. Matt is just a big baby (and a crybaby at that). Seems like every week he's wha, wha, whaing ( )at something or other.

Do you believe that Matt's 26 pound loss was on the up and up, Pookie?
