Online drama

Do you have any good online drama to share? I was a member of a forum where a woman pretended to be a physican and was giving out medical advice. Her advice was kind of wonky but she was supportive and people loved her. She became a mod and was highly reguarded. Members would call her out on things (you are only 24, how can you be a practicing doc, dougie). But eventually people put the pieces together and discovered she was a fraud.

Share you online drama with Puddy

I used to belong to an Army Wives (and girlfriends, fiances) support board and there was a woman who came on there and said that her husband had been killed in Iraq a few months earlier. She lived near an Army post and would hang out with girls in the area who were on the board. It was later found out that she had a husband, but that he had divorced her. She had photoshopped herself into a lot of pictures she posted, and she didn't live in a big house like she said...she lived it a gross one bedroom apartment.

How someone could say that her husband was killed in war to a bunch of wives of soldiers is beyond me...

I don't know any online drama.

However, I only started visiting forums this March.

Personally, I am not sure if I would even be upset about online drama. I had grown a really big apathy for the last year or so. I simply don't care anymore.

there was one here just recently in the 4x4 community that was e-legendary. It was a internet deal for some gears gone bad, well the thread got cross posted everywhere. The ensuing beat down of the bad seller reached 72 pages long and crashed the site repeatedly. Personal info and family history got posted, the ownage was so strong that this kid is probably ruined for life. They even have t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. with his face and name on it.

Incredible. The internet can be a 'WMD' of sorts if you're not careful.

I'd post the link, but it is a rather hostile site and they really don't need anymore traffic right now.

This seems like a good opportunity to remind members about our internet safety sticky:

I was once a member of a forum that had a lot of pregnant women on it, just by random chance. Once new woman to the forum posted she was 4 months along with quadruplets. She posted from her colleges web addy and even her husband posted(they both worked as professors at the college). About a month or two lter she posted she had lost all four babies. All the pregnant women were extremely upset, crying etc, one even went into premature labor she ws so distraught over the news. Turned out....the woman with "quads" had faked the entire thing, using ultrasound pictures from her department and photoshopping them to indicate 4 babies. The college found out about her and her husbands deception and fired them on the spot.

Well I am a moderator of a drum forum so I see tons of this stuff. We recently banned about 10 members because 1 of them told an Administator where to go and how to get there because the administator deleted a thread where the member was drunk. To be honest it was a waste of space. So all his buddies decided to post porn pictures, videos etc. and then after they got banned they tried to come back. So I decided to email their parents and sent them the pictures these kids posted and what could happen if the company hosting the board lost their site. Basically I threatened we would sue them due to lost busniess. Out of the 10 I sent 8 thanked me and 2 told me to mind my own bees wax and never tell them how to raise their 16 year old sons.

Then there was the 14 year old model who was so rich her parents bought her a Hummer and she can LEGALLY drive it anywhere she pleases. There is a cop on our forum who called her out on it. She also said she did adult movies legally.

Then there was the guy who said he was from alquidea and had downloaded viruses into or mainframe so everyone had to pay him 25.00 to get the software from him so their computers wouldn't crash.

That is the ones off the top of my head. I could get more if you like.
