Home Improvements ~Before-n-After~

We are having our home re-appraised....We purchased this home less than a year ago...it had a concrete basement. Oh Pray, pray....
new appraisal has to end up with 10% equity in order for us to re-finance.
Or else all are hard work and money.....poo-poo!
There are a ton more pics of the rest of it but this sums it up pretty good.
It turned out beautiful and the children LOVE it!

Very nice, Dawn! We have a large gameroom too, and had some great times down there with parties for the children and guests for dancing and pool. Happy memories! We have a fireplace too, which was nice. You're going to enjoy it, I know! I hope the appraisal is not too high.

Oh, what did you put on the floor? We need to redo our floor. I think the area rug is a good idea.

Jeanie....the floor is painted with that specila epoxy stuff that is designed for garages and basements. It looks really good if you could actually see it and touch it. It is a super thick and rich coat....it is really shiny.
If you touch it is is really thick, it has these colored lfakes sprinkled in
there so it is really pretty...the picture does not do the floor justice.
We need this appraisal to be high....the higher the better or the bank wont refinance us.

I think it is so cool how the paneling back by the door looks so much lighter after the other walls were finished. Cool!

Crystal.....Thanks I love the color too.
It is leftover paint we had from our old house....we tried to spend
the least amount of money possible.
God blessed us with a suspended ceiling above the couch area for only $30 dollars....an ad in the paper and the stuff was in brand new perfect
condition!!!
The wood ceiling above the pool table was kinda expensive...
next year we are going to buy a real pool table....the one that is there now is just a kid play thing....

Oh ya' Jeanie that is the room I was going to put a piano in someday.

Looks really nice....but why refinance? Interest rates today are higher than when you bought the house.

Tim....I dont completely understand the all the loan details.
When we bought the house we had a regular mortgage and then an 'equity note' to do the renovations with....it is the interest on the equity note that is killing us. (dont ask me exaclty what it is?)
Once the 2 loans are combined and we make 1 house payment
we will save almost $200 a month even with the higher interest rate.
