Laundry Volume...Pictures.

The topic of laundry came up in another thread...
I thought I would show everyone the volume of laundry
that there is with a large family...this is 1 weeks worth of laundry.

Pic 1....Kids having fun! LOL! 1 dirty load on top of the dryer.
1 dirty load on the right side of the baby. (towels are out of sight behind the freezer, next to the dirty slippers.

Pic 2....1 load in the washing machine, 1 pile in front of machine waiting, 1 load in basket waiting, 1 pile of whites waiting...

Pic 3....I sort the children's laundry according to which child it belongs to. (easier folding that way) Once combined that will be about 3 loads.

There you have it...if I added right that is 9 loads per week, not including any bedding or my or husbands blue jeans what so ever.

OMG the joys of kids and laundry. We just went to Target yesterday to get detergent, dryer sheets, and some bleach and it came out to $45. It can sure get expensive

Well.....then dangit I am doing pretty good then!!!

I haer you Eithne about the work clothes...before George became disabled he has work clothes to add to the mix.
And no we do not use a new towel everytime we shower.
NO WAY! Ma Ma says NO!!! We have towel bars and hang them out to dry, until the next use and while the kids are small they can share a towel! I do my best to cut back, like having the kids wear sock tiwce in a row...(dont worry I amways give them fresh undies) LOL!
I myself will wear my socks twice in a row, I dont have sweaty feet.
Hubby has to have fresh socks everyday because of sweaty feet!

Today I am washing comforters....they are overdue with baby spit up!
Man oh Man!!! If some of you guys that have no kids are already doing th is much wash then once you have children you are really going to find ways to cut back and not take it for granted!
Keep in mind too that I have Whirlpool Duet front loaders that can wash 16 pairs of jeans in 1 load....
So lets say you guys have like 4 loads with standard machines...
I could wash that amount in only 2 loads...

Oh and the folding goes on FOREVER AND EVER!!!

I don't even know how many loads I do a week, nor do I want to!

I have 4-5 loads calling my name right now. Ugh...

Dawn, I separate like you do -- one pile per person for folding. I am trying to teach my kids to fold but sometimes they just toss the clothes in the drawer. Eventually they will start to care about being wrinkled, but not yet!

Dawn, you are seriously cracking me up here!

I use Tide now but store brands for me don't work as well. Maybe it was just that one brand I had before but it kinda ruined me
