Holiday Decorations

Yep I humbug decorations, everything came down yesterday. Gone, packed up and stored away in the attic until next year. Called my two sisters, they've taken down everything also. Must be leftover stuff from our childhood. We grew up in a rowhouse with three small bedrooms 5 kids and three adults. My Dad thought If it didn't eat cereal, didn't get up to change the tv channels as per his command, it wasn't a kid, so it must be clutter.

I didn't have any up, because I moved from Florida to my friends basement to my place in a matter of weeks (ending the day after Christmas) My mom's are all down already. We always had to get our decorations down before my sisters birthday (which is January 2)

Up the day after thanksgiving, down the day after christmas. Every year.

Christmas decorations after the holiday always seem odd/weird/depressing.

I haven't been in Ohio since the day after Christmas, so I don't know if they're still around. We didn't decorate until Dec 24th, though, and I think I'll keep doing that way in the future. It's refreshing to actually have a break between holidays.

I had totally forgotten about Christmas this year. I didn't put anything up. I am hoping I could put up something in the next couple of weeks and just don't take it down the whole year. I did it with my Christmas tree last year and I didn't even realize I left it up all last year until last week . I am just so overwhelmed.....

Ah your not alone..my tree came down two days after christmas, still working on the decorations, got most of them down and packed just need to put them in the basement til next year..I still have to take down the outside lights, but I am waiting until we get a semi warm day to do that...I have not lit them after christmas...I am thankful its over!

I like christmas, but I couldnt wait till it was over! My house is not big and the tree was in the dining room and we had to move the kitchen table back into the kitchen, which makes it really tight to get around

So YAY I have my kitchen back..LOL..

I had our tree on the kitchen table....it is small.
Dangerous for crawling toddler for it to be on the floor.

Anyways....I do love the outdoor lights of Christmas.
So those can stay up until hubby gets in the mood to remove them.
