Has anyone sold on Ebay?

Just curious. I have various things from my dh's childhood that my mil has saved that are just too cool to throw away, there is so much we have been renting a garage to store everything. I'm wondering if it will be a great hassle to get involved with Ebay.

I used to have a store on ebay. You don't make much money. However, it is a great way to get rid of stuff extremely quickly if you are tired of them sitting in the garage.

It is a lot quicker (and more lucrative) if you sell things in lots. Good pictures are essential. Photoshop is a must.

There are a lot of people stealing people's auction photos and putting up their own auctions with other people' auction photos. That kind of creates an unfair advantage.

I've sold several things on eBay - all stuff from around the house (and from the wedding) that we wanted to get rid of and bring in a little cash. I've sold everything from board games we didn't play to a camara cell phone.

I sold a Bowflex for what I bought it for a year prior once... easy. My sister sold some of my grandmother's things when she went to the nursing home and Mom sells stuff on there too...

We've sold lots of stuff. Its easy and never any problems great way to get rid of stuff. Your stuff goes better if you do a little research on presentation and best time for your auction to end etc

i've sold on ebay, and had quite a few problems with people not paying, also with people saying they never got tiems, despite them being sent recorded delivery and being signed ofr.
you jsut have to eb carefull who you sell to.
it can be a bit of work, itisnt always easy. theres the wrapping up of everything, and carting it to the psot office, waiting to get payments etc.

we didnt make much money from it recently, when we did it 4 years ago we made a few hundred, but things seem to have slowed down a lot lately.

I have sold stuff on ebay. Mainly things my parents were just going to throw in the garbage when they moved but I knew better and got a nice chunk of dough for it. So far I have been pretty lucky but depending it can be a hassle (buyer not paying, waiting too long to pay, having to pack and ship). It's worth a try though IMO. I know around here there are Ebay stores where you can drop your stuff off and they will sell it for you (keeping a percentage of the selling price of course).

I used to sell stuff a lot of Ebay. One time I sold a book I had bought for 99 cents, and it went for $45.
All of the stuff I have sold I ended up making a big profit on.

My fiance makes hand-screen printed t-shirts and sells them on Ebay, he makes a lot of money from that.

Really? I think that may be the way to go for me. I'll have to check into that.
