Today 7 yrs. ago my dh proposed

Back then we were big time walkers. Dh coaxes me into walking over the bridge into Philly. I thought he was nuts, it was the coldest day so far that year. We get midspan of the bridge and he pulls out a piece of cardboard from his back pocket, gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him. He thought I was crying with joy, really the wind was blowing so hard that it made my eyes tear. I actually leaned into the wind and could not fall over from the wind gusting. There we were in the middle of the bridge hugging one another eyes tearing and noses running... it is such a sweet memory. Of course I said yes. We finally got to Philly sat down to cup of hot chocolate and laughed like hyenas.

That's funny.

I can't even remember the day my fiance proposed to me. I think the day we met we automatically knew we would eventually marry each other.

Whatever the cause of the tears, it's a great memory!

LOL ~ that's one day to remember for sure! ~

I remember very well when my ex asked me to marry him, he took me to a fancy luncheon and the ring was in my desert! LOL

Quite creative or so I thought, I mean, I could've eaten it LOL ~

Anyway, we got married with all the hallabaloo only to be divorced one 1/2 years later LOL

I'm all the better for it...CHEATER!

Congratulations.

Definitely a wonderful memory.

David proposed to me at a gathering of friends. So, my best friend, dad, best friend's boyfriend, best friend's son, and lots and lots of other friends and family were present. It was really sweet as David, like me, does not like being the center of attention or talking in front of a lot of people. But he knew how important these people were to me, so he wanted to include them. So, he got down on one knee in front of everyone and asked. And of course I cried like a baby!
