Kidney stones

I spent the morning yesterday in the ER trying to pass a kidney stone. Ever have one? OMG the worst pain I've ever experienced. Of course this all happened within 10 minutes of me entering my office. I thought I pulled a muscle on Tuesday, my back felt achy all day and into the night. Wednesday morning got dressed for work still feeling achy and made my way to work and each mile I felt worse. Well then it hit me full tilt at my desk. Of course I was taken out on a stretcher to the hospital within 8 minutes of my office. The hospital gave me two liters of fluids and a IV of pain drug. I screened the urine at the ER but I wasn't sure if the stone passed or not. Well I'm off work today and still feel achy all over again. Just got off the phone with my primary physician and he doesn't't think I passed it yet. The ER gave me some meds and I'm super hydrated and still checking for a stone. Best thing I can say is I am NOT in that horrific pain. Lordy what next

I've never had one but a very good friend had one while in Iraq! He's on a helicopter so they get dehydrated easily. They had to send him home early because of it!

My brother rolled on the floor all night with the pain. He wanted to go fishing in the early AM, so he was determined to pass it himself. He didn't. He finally had to go to the hopital. MEN! I understand the pain is terrible.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, Shari.
