Causing skin to peel

I got this stuff called Johnson holiday glow which is a moisturiser with a little bit of tanning in it.

Although the tanning part is turning out fanstasticly whenever i put this stuff on it on it causes my skin to peel! At the moment ive got skin peeling off me all over! Well atleast i think its skin, it couldnt be dirt because both times i used the stuff was straight after a shower.

Should i keep using this stuff? Is it a bad sign that its causeing my skin to peel?

Sincerely, Krystle.

I'd say stop and call your doctor. there should be no reason for your skin to peel from a lotion unless it's an aloe lotion and you're sunburned.

peeling is your body getting rid of layers of skin that are dead and if it's a reaction to your lotion then there's something in it that your body really really doesn't like

are you sure it's skin?
There are some lotions that after I put them on they seem to flake!

I've noticed that my skin peels right when I get out of the shower if I rub it. Mainly on my shoulders and chest though. You might try exfoliating in the shower with a body scrub/gel or just regular soap on a loofah. Then when you get out rub with your towel on the parts that usually peel. If there's no peeling going on then try your lotion again. If there's still peeling scrub harder next time, lol, or see if you can get most of the dead skin off with your towel.

If the peeling still continues when you put on the lotion after exfoliating then I wouldn't use it.

If your skin is still peeling, take a loooong hot shower. I had a chemical peel done a few years ago, and panicked because my face wasn't peeling fast enough (I looked horrible.) The doctor told me to take a long hot shower, and sure enough, the remaining skin fell away.

Thankx for the advice
There is a shower gel that is the same sorta thing do you reckon that would be better since im putting it on and washing it of in the shower rather than keeping it on all day? Ill also give the exfoliating a go, i have notcied that my skin has peeled using other moisturisers as well but its only the cheapo ones, and comeing to think of it the Johnson holiday glow was pretty darn cheap for a tanning lotion AND on sale.... hmmm

Sincerely, Krystle.
