Yahoo! Instant Messanger! *MSN Messenger Also*

I downloaded YIM (Yahoo! Instant Messanger). Does anyone else have it? How do you like it? My s/n is bunnylover122002.

I am also downloading MSN. Found out it was free.

EVVVERRYONE my age is obsesed with msn, they practically live on it, if i go over somebodys house that's what we do, just go one msn. To tell the truth im over msn, and i usualy have to disconnect the internet before friends come over so i dont have to spend all day watching them talk to people, arrrgh. But yes its good too because i made many close friends on msn with people i hadnt met in my life because they lived so far away, which is nice.

Sincerely, Krystle.

I have Yahoo messenger and I like it. But it has some major problems most of the time. In the chat rooms you get wfs (white font syndrom) where you can type away and no one can see you typing. You get disconnected from the rooms alot. Uggg... it can be a pain in the butt alot of the time. I could go on and on LOL. Alot of the people I talk to are switching to something else.

I've used Yahoo Messenger pretty much exclusively for 5 years and I like it best out of all the IM progs out there. I stay out of the Yahoo chat rooms anymore because they don't do anything about all the porn bots that have sprang up in their chat room like fungi!

I use a linux computer about half the time, so i use a chat program called Gaim. There is also a version of Gaim for windows. It is one of those multi-faceted messenger programs that connects to your AIM screen name, Yahoo account, MSN account, ICQ and several others that I don't use, all at one time. I like it alot.

catlover, Please be very cautious. Do not give out any personal information, and please do not pretend you are older than you are! Predators see right through that. So, no strangers, please, even if a friend invites them to talk with the two of you.

Jeanie, thanks for caring about my safety. My parents told me over and over again DO NOT give out any personal info and to be very cautious. Also, I never meet anyone on the net and never intend to.

You know, it's true that some people had some bad things happen to them by meeting people from chat rooms, etc. but I never did. I've met several people from the net. Funny thing is, they all turned out to be jerks anyway and now I'm married to a guy I met at my last factory job. Go figure.

I prefer AIM myself. I started out on ICQ when that was the first messenger device out there.
