New Job

I'm scared and excited at the same time!
I will be moving up to a little tiny (yet rather famous ) town in northern NM in about a month!
The job is very exciting and a very good opportunity!
Yet, leaving a job I've been with for 9yrs is a bit scary! I told my current boss on Friday. I have to admit I was a bit afraid of telling him I was leaving, but he took it very well. It's too good of an opportunity for me to pass up and he sees that!
Wish me luck in a quick sale on my house (goes on the market Monday) and buying a new house quickly!
Oh, it's gonna be a busy month

I know exactly how you feel right now... I'm two weeks into a new job - 6 hours away from friends and family, after elaving a job of nearly 8 years....

The sale of my place was smooth, the transition was easy, but i have to admit there's a little - okay, a lot - of homesickness sinking in right now. The opportunity is wonderful, the job and community are great, but I do miss the life and people I had back at home... and it will always be there that is home...

Here's hoping everything is a smooth transition for you.... Good luck!

I'm lucky in that one of my best friends and her husband moved up there about 7 months ago. She's doing her post doc at the labs and he is with the company I'm starting with. He recruited me. So I have friends up there (I secretly think they just wanted to have their dogsitter up there with them ).

I'm just doing finishing touches on the house today so my agent can come take pics tomorrow. She'll put the sign in the yard tomorrow and then add the flyers in a day or so.
