Da Vinci Code Book

Hi everyone I bought the Da Vinci Code book last night at Walmat for only $14.00. Has anyone read it yet? And how was it?

I loved this book and devoured it Some people don't like the pacing of it but I didn't have a problem with it. It's definitely "pop" fiction and reads like that, but it's good pop fiction so enjoy!

I just read the verdict on the copyright infringement trial between the Da Vinci Code versus The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail.

Jude Peter Smith ruled in the favor of Dan Brown, the author of The Da Vinci Code, but wrote HIS OWN italicized CODE in the 71-page verdict that is a mixture of the Da Vinci Code and The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail code.

The juge had too much time on his hands, IMO

I haven't read it...but Erik did and he didn't like it that much. My sister liked it, though...so I don't know, I guess it's just your taste. The subject matter doesn't interest me that much.

I read it and loved it. There are a lot of controversial issues discussed in the book so be prepared. Angels and Demons is awesome too. It's actually the prequel to DaVinci Code, but all you get from it (that is in the second) is about his first girlfriend, who is mentioned maybe once and only briefly.

If you like these kinds of books, check out The Rule of Four byIan Caldwell and Dustin Thomason.

I read Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I really liked Da Vinci Code, but I didn't care as much for Angels and Demons because they were way too similar.

I second Rule of Four, I really loved that one. It's even better than Da Vinci Code.

Loved it.

Read 'The Rule of Four' and, while it was a clever book, I had absolutely no interest in the characters. No emotional involvement whatsoever. I didn't really care, you know? Which was too bad, because it was kinda neat.

I hope that all who respond will honor catman's rule that religious threads are temporarily banned. The subject of The Da Vinci Code is very controversial. I'm afraid this thread is on very thin ice.

I haven't read it I'm afraid....I have dedicated the remainder of my life to being happy, and this means avoiding subjects that require too much thought on my part.

I'm perfectly happy reading the comics and Dave Barry's column
