Our Amazing Blue Sparkling Planet/Pics

I love these pictures from outer space. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! It's such a beautiful sight at night. It's awe inspiring!

Jeanie,

Yes, I really enjoyed looking at these photos. I hope I do appreciate it as much as I should. It is easy to forget how precious it is. We need to see it from a different perspective sometimes.

Thank you for bringing this new perspective into my busy day in which I am running around like an ant, looking only at the ground and what is in front of me.

Thanks for the pics, Jeanie! They were so incredible! The flattened projection really hit me because as you look across it, with all the white speckles (lights, I presume), it's easy to see just how populous some areas are and how sparse others are.

That hurricane off the coast of Florida was terrifying!

Wow -- at first when I clicked the link I didn't expect much...I've seen pictures from outer space just as often as anyone. But these are beautiful! I love the one of night falling over Europe and North Africa, and the other ones that show all of the lights at night. Gorgeous!

I thought it was exceptional too. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I'm greatly interested in outer space also, Cassandra. Thanks for the pictures.

Beautilful pics, I loved the flattened out one at night. That would really be cool in my room or living room.

Those pictures are beautiful. I just saw a presentation Al Gore gave on global warming on Link TV a few weeks ago and it showed the first 2 pics of the planet saying how those pictures are what sparked the environmental movement in the 60's.

Let those pics serve as a reminder how beautiful our earth is and more importantly how fragile it is. If we don't start acting now you won't see those pictures of iceland because it will be gone (melted). Recycle, ride a bike or walk when you can, get more informed about sustainable forms of energy, use less water etc. etc. etc.
