Question This is strange...

I have the cat trap set up on my porch. I keep the door closed for the time being. I have a can of cat food set all the way back in the trap. There is dry cat food in the can. It was filled to the top with food. So this morning i go outside to check to see if ms.brindle was outside waiting for breakfast(she was). So while she was eatting her bowls of food..i look at the trap and notice that the can is empty.

The cage itself has very small openings..i cant even get my fingers inside the trap..thats how small the openings are. So im tryn to figure out what kind of animal got inside the trap and ate up the dry cat food.

So i told my mom and she thinks it could of been a chipmunk or a mouse. But i dont think those 2 animals could fit in between those openings.

It was very strange. Do you have any idea what got into the trap to eat the cat food? Remember..the front door was closed.

I wish we had a night vison camera...that way i could see who is eatting the food.

A mouse can fit in an opening the size of a dime, according to what I've read. I would not let Ms. Brindle see the trap, if I were you. You won't be able to fool her when you put it in the bushes and cover it. Or have you already had her spayed. If not, she's pregnant by now.
