Update your ferals?

Once you guys TNR your feral cats....do you trap them again the following year for there rabies shots??

Last year,we TNR 2 of our feral cats and they got there rabies shot...so on there certificate it says they are due this month.

I know there is no way Im going to trap them again just for a shot.

but I was wondering if you guys update your feral kitties?

Oh my - this has been an ongoing concern of mine. Smokey was TNR almost 3 years ago and although I can pet him and even pick him up now (for about 5 seconds) there is NO WAY he's going into any trap, and NO WAY I'm able to hold him long enough to get him into a carrier. I kinda like my arms and skin and all to be in one piece...

The vet just said, oh, trap him again. Fat chance. This cat is very suspicious now of anything odd or boxlike and will not even go into his shelter in winter except in extreme cold. I'm hoping someday I'll be able to accomplish the feat of getting him into a carrier. Pray for me? I'll pray for you. If you figure out a trick, do let me know!
