Suddenly she doesn't like it :(
I've been trying to switch our cat Sophie over to raw food, and at first it seemed to be going well. She was accepting small pieces of chicken, beef, etc quite nicely, and was even learning to chew larger pieces. So we decided to transition her to a bit of kibble in the morning and raw food at night.
The problem is, after a couple of days she's just gone off of raw food. At first, she would eat it all, then she started just picking at it, and last night she refused to eat any of it. Do cats normally do that? she is even more picky about organs and bones. Even with us smashing up bones with a hammer she's very leery of bones. That's why we still give her Origen for one meal a day.
What would make her refuse to eat something that she seemed to really like before? Do I just need to mix it up more, and offer her a wider variety?
If it makes any difference, Sophie is 11 years old and pretty fat. She's never been particularly picky before, and used to eat pretty much anything she could get her paws on, especially if she saw us eating it first. She really is a little pig but, for some reason, she has gotten really fussy. I wonder if she's just tired of chewing?
