Poop Quality Question!

So shes been on a mainly raw diet for about 10 days. Her poop has changed quite dramatically. Less frequent and instead of brown, mushy, almost human or dog looking, shes now pooping small, dark, hard poops.

As somewhat of a fitness nerd whos always on a diet, I know that humans have similarly less, smaller and darker waste when on a high fluid diet with few solids, for example when consuming a lot of protein drinks, yoghurts, eggs, soups etc, any comments on whether this is considered good or bad concerning cats?

Re: Poop Quality Question!

Sounds like typical raw cat poop
It's a very good sign, just make sure it doesn't get TOO hard and causes the cat to have trouble expelling it, if it does you'll need to cut back on bone or increase organ consumption.

Yup -- one of the many wonderful side effects of a raw diet!
