dry /cooked food to raw

I have just joined this forum in anticipation of my cat's arrival in two weeks.

She is 2 years old. At the moment she is being free fed dry food with one cooked meal of chicken or fish each day. I would like to convert her to raw when she settles with me. Do i go from dry to canned to raw or do i continue with the cooked and then transition to raw?

Also i am based in the UK, and if i am going to change her to canned i would like to use a high quality canned like Evo 95%, Wellness etc. Does anyone know of any suppliers of these products in the UK?

Re: dry /cooked food to raw

Some cats will accept raw right from the start. Try her! If she digs right in, great!

If not, the easiest way to transition is to first get the cat used to 2 meals a day of canned food. More info here:

I know nothing about what cat foods are in Britain, so I'll let someone else address that part!

Re: dry /cooked food to raw

When I switched Macy over to the raw diet, she was already eating wet food. Macy switched to the raw diet really easy. We tried a couple small pieces of chicken at first. Then added the other stuff. (Kidney, Liver, Bone) She's been on the raw diet for a while now.
