Thawing and refreezing meat
I always thaw and refreeze the liver and kidneys. I was wondering how bad it was to do that? I cut up a huge chunk of kidneys and put them in a ziploc bag and then throughout the week, I thaw up the kidneys and cut a small piece of kidney for one meal. It's not very convenient for me to cut up all the kidneys into small pinky sized pieces and put them in seperate ziploc bags. I know it's a better idea to pre-package meals like, for example, the bag for Monday morning should contain a small kidney with the muscle meat and bones and then just pre-package all of the kidneys like that for the rest of the week. I tried that and it never works. I get TOO lazy and I'm too busy to package their meals in advance. The muscle meat, kidneys, bones, liver, etc. are all in seperate ziploc bags. I don't thaw and refreeze the meat and bones.
