Got my rabbit order!!!

Yay! I'm a happy kitty mommy! I finally received my first order of rabbit from my new supplier, and it's wonderful!!! Bones are very tiny, you would hardly know they are in there!!! Meat is very fresh, and NO rancid smell!! The kitties were chomping at the bit to get some while I was mixing it up, and my little diva Patches, who always turns up her nose at new food, SCARFED it down!! Even with the little bit of beef I added in to the mix. No tempting her with Parmesan cheese, or adding fish oil...........she inhaled it!Life is good again, and I'm hoping to see them scratching less and less within a week or so!!

For those of you who are maybe in Wisconsin, and looking for a rabbit meat supplier, please look up Larson Rabbitry! He is wonderful to order from. I know he makes deliveries out to MN, and other areas around WI, so please do look him up.

Here's the link to their site.

Thank you Marie and Heidi!

Heidi, you are soooo right!! What is this now, 2 years later almost??? Seriously!!! It's funny though, because last night after feeding the rabbit for the first time again, Patches ran around the house like a little teenager again! She hasn't done that since they had to go off the rabbit just about a little over a month ago! It makes me very happy to see her this happy!

Woohoo! Glad they are back on the bunny. I forget if you were adding in taurine in your mix?

When we first switched our 13 year old (now 15) I cried the first time I watched him take off after a toy like he used to. It's amazing what a little real meat can do, isn't it?

Thank you Kelly! Yes, adding in taurine, and added in a bit of beef also, to add some needed fat to the mix. Just trying to work out now, how much each will eat. Lucy is being a finicky fart all of a sudden. To much water......not enough water. Bah! I add in extra when I serve, just to make sure they are getting plenty of moisture.

Sounds good! I would (if it were me ) skip the extra water, raw meat has PLENTY. Unless ofcourse, the kitties prefer it.

As well as the taurine and beef, try adding some fish oils! That really helped our old guy too.

Hey, this is great news! Yay, I'm way happy for you.

Sourcing products is always the hardest part, isn't it? *shakes head sadly*

And, yeah, the happy, running around playful kitty has got to be one of the sweetest sights in the world to a cat owner.
