Talking We ordered our raw food!

I'm picking it up tomorrow night on my nightshift, from my co-worker who feeds her Shepherd raw food. We ordered 5 oz chicken patties (ground, bone-in, with added organs, so it's basically "complete") and a small package of whole mackerel just for fun, to see if they'll eat it with the bone in, and I think I may have also told her to get some beef or lamb patties. I'm super excited to start transitioning them, they'll get the patties (Wicket's will be mixed with a small amt of canned food to start as he's the one who's not quite convinced it's "food") and continue to get a wing a few times a week, and when the butcher around the corner fires up for the summer I'll get some whole quail as well and try those out as well.

The supplier also makes tripe patties and I wondered if anyone has fed their cats tripe? I know dogs love it but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate for cats....

We'll keep our grain-free kibble and canned around for when they get to visit the kennel but I'm hoping that over the next month we'll be able to transition them to full raw. So excited that this supplier is so close! We can make weekly orders if we need to, to cut down the amt of freezer space we use (we only have a small freezer in our fridge, and no room in the house for a big one).

I'm hoping Wicket will take to it. I know the kitten won't have a problem....Now off to read threads about tricks to make them eat it when they don't want to!

Good luck! I desperately wish we could use the pre-prepared raw food--my cats have tried samples of RadCat and loved it--but with 9 mouths to feed the cost is too prohibitive.

That's what I was expecting, really expensive stuff, but it's only 2.50 or something per lb and they're only meant to be getting a patty each a day...so I worked it out and it's like 50 or 60 bucks a month total and that's if they're over-eating!
